The age old question; How do we as parents keep our kids eating healthily? How do we encourage them to keep eating their fruit and veg? Cue the company Googly Fruit; I had used a few brands of ‘healthy eating’ pouches and packets before but I have to say I was REALLY impressed with this one.

So where are these elusive places for Moms to meet I hear you ask? It is a commonly known fact that when craving an adult interaction it is quite another matter finding the right place to indulge said cravings. There are plenty of places that label themselves as ‘child friendly’ or made for kids specifically, but are they made for adults to enjoy some solace and steal a few moments of conversation about anything other than animated shows or when the next meal is! I have explored an array of places with some of my Momigos and none have matched up to The Wendy House.
I don’t know about you but when I first used baby wipes I realised that they are the most magical creation in a parents life; my first thought actually was ‘why have I not been using these my entire life!?’. I genuinely use them in all circumstances where it is possible so when I was approached by Water Wipes to test and review their natural, water based baby wipes I could NOT say no!
So the season of spring is upon us and that can only mean one thing… time to clean up and refresh our tired and cluttered home and gardens that have suffered the wrath of Christmas and Winter! I don’t know about you but I find myself dreading the big ol’ overhaul of my house and garden so I thought it entirely necessary to enlist the assistance of a few leading brands to show me the way through the trauma; I have actually found that I am now rocking my spring clean and declutter and enjoying it, weirdly… so these are my helpful tips to help you rock your own spring clean.
My little man loves a good book, so when I was invited to trial and review a new and upcoming app Ebookadabra, I was intrigued. It has been made my Moondog Books in partner with leading publishers like Disney, Harper Collins, Parragon and contains hundreds of books at the touch of a finger and great educational games and activities. I have tried different apps before with the little man and although initial interest was definitely there, it did fade at times. With Ebookadabra, however, as it is just a sea of books the small dude was captivated! Especially when he saw that it included his favourite characters from Disney movies such as Frozen, Finding Dory, Monsters Inc etc and stories we had read him at bedtime like ‘No Matter What’ and ‘Doing The Animal Bop’. This one is a winner.
Here at Rock and Roses Mama blog I am all about Mama Time, and am determined to promote and inspire Mamas across the globe take some quality time out for themselves and their relationship. If only there was a way we could promote this concept to our bambinos so that they somehow begin to understand our parental plight! Well… look no further than The Large Family; Jill Murphy and Walker Books have served us up a treasure trove of children’s books that hilariously detail the struggles of two parent elephants trying to spend some time with themselves and each other.
If you follow my blog then you will know how important i have always said I think it is that we busy bee Mommas spend little time for ourselves; getting a chance to do things that we wish we had the time for now we have little people running us in circles any in day out. I find the best time is during my little mans afternoon nap, but as those days dwindle and the napless days become more frequent, it is getting more and more difficult to get shit done.
We very rarely get a whole day and evening just the three of of and when we do we like to make the most of it; last Sunday we decided to have a family fun day out to Staunton Country Park as recommended by my mama friend over at @mummymkschronicle then a cheeky Sunday lunch at our favourite and recently revamped Green King pub The Castle in the Air.
So I have always maintained that when becoming a rocking’ mama it is super important to remain Y O U and keep on following your passions. My partner and I have always loved music; he is the guitarist of a local function bad and I have always had music as a huge part of my life (from birth my mother was playing me tapes of Kate Bush, Phil Collins Buddy Holly, make of that what you will!) When I fell pregnant it was no different for my little man, my partner bought me these ingenious speakers that stick onto your bump so that you can musically educate your bambinos in utero! Magic.
