After the amazing Utterly Feral’s instalment of #bloggybrides last week you should now have pretty much all you need to know to organise your big day… But as the fateful event of the ‘hen do’ looms and you think, what on earth shall I do? Well lets just say I had a pretty good idea of my perfect shindig on the smaller scale budget we had set for everyone (we had been invited to some pretty expensive hens and stags and decided that we didn’t want to put people in that awkward situation where they cannot afford it or get the time off work etc…) We agreed we would just do something relatively local… and for 24 hours. I had my heart set on a night out and then a spa afternoon the next day and started organising things when I was put to a sudden halt by one of my head bridesmaids; “WE will organise this for you…” Amazing. SO without further ado I invite you to be part of my gorgeous weekend… my ‘hen do’ adventures.
There is a time in every Mothers life when the daily moment of solace then we call ‘nap time’ will come to an end. So I plead with you to cherish it with all of your being while it is still an entity in your household. I have unfortunately fallen victim to the death of ‘nap time’ and for this I am currently in mourning (I will talk about this in my weekly musing) but today I am reaching out to you to encourage, no implore, you to cherish your child’s nap time with these useful tips.
So as you who follow me know I only started blogging about three months ago. I was totally unaware of what I was getting into, I just knew a few things; I love writing, I would love to be able to write for a living and I am passionate about Mamas not losing who they are. When I started blogging and plucked up the courage to send my first post in to the depths of the world wide web I was completely unaware of the community I had entered. As I began learning about linkies, Twitter chats, networks and conferences etc I was utterly blown away by the support and encouragement I was given every day. So this post is to say thank you to The Blogosphere.
So this week has seen every single on of the household ill at some point and have been busy bees with appointments left right and centre for dentists, doctors, health visitors etc… but on the plus side me and the Mr have now got a luscious whole week off together and are off to Manchester tomorrow for a mini break. Bliss.
We very rarely get a whole day and evening just the three of of and when we do we like to make the most of it; last Sunday we decided to have a family fun day out to Staunton Country Park as recommended by my mama friend over at @mummymkschronicle then a cheeky Sunday lunch at our favourite and recently revamped Green King pub The Castle in the Air.
I have felt relatively calm this week in comparison to previous ones; I am certain that learning to ‘let go’ and chill every once in a while has definitely go something to do with it. Also I have a very rare week off with my Mr coming up so I am contently aware that a nice relaxing break is on the horizon! I have however had to force myself to have a few ‘let it go moments’ to spare me the strain and headache of stressing over minute details in the grand scheme if life…
