So I know there are a lot of you out there who don’t buy in to the whole ‘Valentines Day’ thing, and I have to agree that it is far too commercialised, red and plastic heart orientated; but there is some good that can come of its celebration. Love. And free chocolates of course! Now what I also know, is that you should show love and appreciation all year through; however what is the harm in having a day where you get the prerogative to just spoil yourself and your other half with some well earned adoration? Maybe you are trying to impress someone you are not yet in a relationship with, but are simply admiring. If your parents then it is vital to spend time as a couple, getting back to basics; Valentines Day provides a non excusable opportunity to reignite the spark! So if you need some inspiration… here is my favourite things to do and gift in my ONE… and ONLY (not now Chesney…) Rockin’ Valentines Guide.
As you can clearly see from my, verging on spammy, Instagram feed I love a bit of the ol’ Christmas spirit. No scrooges or grinches permitted near this Mama’s household thank you very much! Needless to say that music is a huge part of Christmas for me; I have a deep love for music. Wether you love them or loathe them, Christmas songs are a massive part of getting in to the spirit of the season and, like it or not, cannot be avoided the further into December you get.
I work most weekends, which does kinda suck at times but it does also mean that my little man gets some quality Daddy time which he does really love. I have always been of the opinion that it is essential for any child to have positive role models of both genders, whoever they may be; my little man is lucky enough to have so so many of those surrounding him… but no male role model quite like my rock god Mr. He will always be Daddy cool as he takes Jude to places like this, ‘Summer Madness’ Festival.
