As part of my quest to inspire Mamas to realise their potential to rock Mamahood whilst still being able to retain their own self identity and individuality, I started an interview series where I share the stories of fellow ‘Rockin’ Mamas’. I have been lucky enough to interview amazing Mama bloggers too like Honest Mum and Lauren from Dilan and Me and today I am sharing with you another truly inspirational Mama blogger who has turned her love for lipstick into a career; Sophia aka Tattooed Tealady.
When I was sent a press release for the memoir of Patricia Gachagan, ‘Born Together’, I was compelled to invite her to be interviewed in this series of Rockin’ Mamas as her story could be uplifting and empowering for Mothers everywhere. Patricia has shared her incredible journey through Motherhood with Multiple Sclerosis and has been amazing enough to talk a little to us about her struggle and fight and about her story ‘Born Together’.
I have been part of the blogosphere for around 7 months now and it didn’t take long for me to become completely encapsulated with the amazing support of the blogging community. I discovered Lauren through my new venture into the online writing world and was enthralled by her gentle and gorgeous Motherhood blog and Instagram feed with her son Dilan. I must also note that she has recently embarked on an incredible company with her partner of Adam Robertson Photography (quite the blogging duo I must say…) empowering women through the message ‘We Are Enough’.
I have been in awe of Lauren’s work and am honoured that she has offered to take part in this series showcasing some seriously rockin’ Mamas!
So I recently interviewed the lovely Penelope Magoulianiti, the author of inspirational self help book ‘Women, Motherhood and Independence’ and it sparked talk of a possible interview with one of my most admired blogging mum bosses Vicki Psarias, founder of Honest Mum.
When I was asked to review the book ‘Women, Motherhood & Independence: A Guide to Financial Freedom, Confidence & Beauty after Birth’, I was immediately struck with wonder and awe at the concept behind it. It seemed perfectly in fitting with what I also hope to inspire in women through Rock and Roses Mama; that you CAN achieve success and still be an amazing Mama, it IS possible to balance YOU and your children. I was sent a little about author Penelope and felt a kinship on her mission in supporting women and mothers everywhere to succeed in their niche. When asked if I would like to Interview her also, I was even more pleased. So I am sharing Penelope’s, and my own, passions with you all in the hope it will inspire you to feel supported to go forth and achieve your dreams!
Today I am reigniting this seemingly lost corner of my blog which strives to lift and encourage Mamas to not lose sight of who they are after childbirth; The Rockin’ Mamas series. It is so easily done, to become so washed away in Motherhood that we don’t take any time for ourselves; doing what makes us, US! So I sent out a plea for women far and wide to share their stories with you all in the hope of supporting and proving it IS possible! and sharing the amazingly inspirational story of Selena from ‘Winter and Rain’, and her lush lil family.
Fellow rockin’ mamas unite! In my hope to inspire women to retain their self identity and passions after childbirth I am recruiting the help of other rockin’ mamas that prove you can mama it up without losing Y O U. Today I am sharing the life and experiences of an old friend that I recently crossed paths with once again and couldn’t help but notice how much of a rockin’ mama she is; Carly Stirling and her daughter Harper Rebel Josie Stirling.
